What is double-sided dimout and where is it used?

The benefits of a dimout fabric woven in a different colour on each face, and where to use it.

What is double-sided dimout and where is it used?

Most curtains have a front and a back, and the back is usually out of sight. Double-sided dimout changes that: each face is woven in a different colour, and both can be used.

What kind of fabric is it?

Double-Sided Dimout darkens the room strongly. It is made at 255 g/m², 300 cm wide, in 23 colours. The colour is woven into the fabric; no separate lining is sewn on the back.

Where is it useful?

  • Hotel façades: the designer's colour inside the room, and one calm tone across every window from the street.
  • Glass partitions and meeting rooms: where both sides of the curtain are seen, both faces look finished.
  • Homes: for keeping the street-facing side neutral whatever the room's colour.

How it differs from a lined curtain

A lined curtain sews two fabrics together. Double-sided dimout is a single fabric, which makes making up and washing easier. Like our other fabrics it is 100% polyester, uncoated and machine washable.
