Wash temperature, ironing, stain removal and everyday care for uncoated polyester dimout curtains.

How to wash and care for dimout curtains

A well-kept dimout curtain holds its colour and darkness for years. Our fabrics are uncoated, which makes care easy: there is no backing coat to peel or crack.

Everyday care

Gently vacuum the curtain from a suitable distance to remove dust. This means fewer washes and a longer life.

Stains

For local stains, use a damp sponge with a neutral detergent. To avoid water marks, rinse well with a clean damp sponge, then dry with a hair dryer on the cold setting.

Washing

  • Wash at 30 °C maximum.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry; hang to dry.
  • Iron at low heat if needed.
  • Can be dry cleaned (P).

Product-specific details

Care instructions and symbols are on each product page and datasheet, for example 99% Dimout and Linen-Look Dimout. For curtains with a flame-retardant finish, ask us before washing, as care depends on whether the finish is permanent or temporary.
